Crash Course in international human rights law

 This journal attempts to give the readers a crash course of human rights law 


I am assuming that this audience does not understand the concepts of human rights law


So i will go easy


There are seven systems of human rights law 

1. Universal

2. African

3. European

4. Interamerican 

5. ASian

6. Arab

7. CIS 


The universal system consists of nine treaties 

they are 

the Universal Declaration of Human Rights

which spells out thirty basic rights

which bans racial discriminatioin

Convention on teh Elimination of all forms of discrimination against women

which bans discriminationa gainst women

Convention and Torture

which bans torture

Convention on the rights of the CHild

whichs pells out rights of chidlrne

the Convention on enforced disapperance

which bans enforced disapeprance

and hte Convention on the Rights of persons with disabilities

which bans discriminationag astin persons with disabilities

in Geneva the nine human rights treaties are evaluted agains thtese 193 members states 

in teh six un languages

then we move on to the regional systems


African CHarter oN epopels and Humanr gihts

whichs pells out 24 rights of individuals and 7 collective peoples Rights

the Maputo Protocol signed int he Mozambican capital which spells out the rights fo owmen in Africa 

The African charter on the rights and welfare of the child

African Youth CHarter


the two organizations taht enforce athe rhuman rights in Africa

arte the African Commission on peoples and Human Rights

And the African Court of Peoples and Human Rights

the COmmission in Banjul,Gambia and the Court is Arusha, Tanzania 

the enforce in teh four AU languges Arabic English French and Portuguese 


the European System

which consists of 

The European Covnention on Human Rights

Euroepan Social Charter

European Convention on enforced disapeprnace

the european conventionon relgiious minoroties

The Istanbul Convention oNd komnestic Violecne


This is enforced by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg, France 

The two official languages of the Court are English and French 


and finally the Interamerican System
