International humanitarian law

 International humanitarian law is the law of war 


It consits of four geneva COnverntions of 1864,1906,1929 and 1949 and additional protoocls of 1977 and 2005 


The first geneva convention of 1864 spells out the rights of soldiers

the Second geneva conventiuon of 1906 spells out the rights of maritime soldiers

the third geneva convention of 1929 spells out the rights of prisoners of war

the fourth geneva convention fo 1949 spells out the rights of civilians 


then the Hague Conventions of 1899 and 1907 

which spells out the rule sof war 


The organizationt that enforces the Rules of war is the International Committee of the Red Cross and hte International Criminal Court


the International Criminal Court has jurisdiction of genocide, war crimes, crimes against humanity and aggression committed after July 1,2002 (when the Rome statute went into effect) 


the International Committee of the Red Cross also maintains vigil of international humanitarian law and has wons everla nobel peace prizes from 1901,1917,1944 and 1963 


the six languages of the International Criminal Court are Arabic Chinese English French Russian and Spanish 

the red cross has two official languages French and English
